We have entered a pitch in NOW Popcorn Movie Channel for their launch in south-east asia. We worked towards two approaches.

One is Happy Home Premiere: A more easily approach Premiere not only for celebrities but you! To use a more welcoming approach for Premiere that is brought to your home, the tone is happy and colorful, very different from normal Premiere held in cinema.

Second one is Theatre Curtain: A sophisticated and grand movie theatre To display a glamorous and grand mood for all the blockbusters that Popcorn Channel shown, by using fan-like metallic pieces to symbolize curtain in a grand cinema.

Differentiation is a thing long forgotten in typical campaigns to promote classical music. Luckily our client at Canadian Sinfonietta got us involved early on in defining and realizing their brand direction. Gone are the “me too” stuffy images of batonwaving maestros or instrumental close-ups. Instead, we anchor the brand’s personality on whimsically original campaigns. The result? Year after year, the audience has even come to expect the campaign itself as something of spectacle and not to mention, a full house at every concert. Bravo!

We are asked to redesign the channel look to make it simple but cool! Selected as one of the winners in Brand New Award 2012.

Fresh hip and energetic, this new channel ID not only gave this Star TV channel an age-defying facelift, but it also aligned the channel to its intended audience — exactly the very fresh, uber hip and ultra energetic crowd. The brand ID went on-air, on-line and on all of its channel related communications. The project was as much fun as it looks, for realz!

Hotel safety—not a subject to be taken lightly. Typically a combination of demonstrative performance and narration, most safety videos do what they’re supposed to, but they just aren’t overly exciting to watch, so most people don’t bother. A video unwatched, is pointless, no matter how informative it is. Our take on this? Up the visual appeal, give it a little plot (so really, a little life) and dial in the perfect amount of elegance fit for a five-star hotel. Being bang on brand had never looked so…safe!

Lumiere Pavilions is an up-and-coming digital cinema chain in China. Their differentiator? State of the art cinema-going experience for the middle class family. Create a mascot and up the fun factor in an environment perfect for kids, and now we got the families coming.

We take care the whole process of animated mascot design for Lumiere Pavilions Cinema. From characters, visual elements and style to final product. This mascot set was designed as the representative of the cinema group towards family. It is a brand equity building for the company to have a set of mascot. The benefits are numerous to marketers that are serious about establishing personality for their brands. The company choose to display their brand mascot in front of their customer first through a pre-screen anouncement (PSA) animation.

Concert Season 2011 Canadian Sinfonietta Concert Identity Design

We challenged the status quo on how most orchestras marketed themselves and year after year, the response was overwhelmingly positive.

Requirements:
Being the smallest and the newest in the orchestral arena in Toronto, the Canadian Sinfonietta needs to establish a strong and unique brand position in the fiercely competitive market place.

Solution:
Established orchestras with heavy financial backings typically use big name players or composers to attract audience on a per concert basis without paying much attention to the orchestra's brand perception. As an up and coming force in symphonic preformance, the Canadian Sinfonietta needs a more holistic approach to capture attention as well as increase brand awareness and audience loyalty. Therefore, a campaign model for the season is adopted in addition to promoting key performers in individual concerts.

Design:
Since concerts are held in intimate venues where audience can experience performances in an up close and personal way, the idea of "being small" is now an advantage to the orchestra. For the 2011 season, a teaser poster is designed to hint at the idea of "Small and Beautiful" to concert goers. A simple yet stunning illustration of a violin with butterfly wings suggests that small can indeed be beautiful. This design is extended and further elaborated across all subsequent marketing material.

Mobile marketing was just emerging at the time and Clearoute wanted to target the early adopters of smart phones, i.e., trend setting young adults and business professionals. It was a balancing act of looking cool, talking pro and oozing tech.

Requirements:
A leading mobile marketing agency in Toronto, Canada needed to revamp their online presence. Mobile marketing today is mostly targeted towards a younger audience, so the site needs to convey a sense of youth (nerd chic if you will), technology and professionalism.

Solution:
A straight to the point website is created with easy to update portfolio and up to the minute twitter feeds.

Design:
The design is both engaging and simple at the same time. As the name of the company suggests, the site is not bogged down by excessive embellishments that only serve to distract. Highlights on key projects are presented as hero images on the home page. Bold and colorful 3-D info graphic style illustrations help to reinforce the know-how of the company.

Hypacoustic was moving into Asia and Eastern Europe. Our brand research showed that focusing on the human aspects of the sound experience would drive purchasing decisions. To communicate something as abstract as the quality of sound without the actual use of sound, Hypacoustic needed to evoke an emotional response that felt entertaining, original and honest. Nokia 6555 Launch Nokia Product launch site

Self-expression is the defining character of human. Candidly capture how the cool kids do it. No pretence. Make it raw. And oh, they just happened to have the “right” phones with them.

Requirements:
Nokia required an simple yet elegant site that introduces the Nokia 6555, geared towards a more sophisticated demographic of music lovers (age 40+).

Solution:
As this particular customer segment is not used to spending as much time online as their younger counterparts, the site was designed to effectively present the many mandatory sections of information on the style and functional capabilities of the phone in a precise yet understated way.

Design:
An interactive 360 view of the phone serves to highlight the aesthetic quality of the phone, which is its main differentiator from its competition. The carefully restrained color palette, along with the highlights of the gleaming hardware, bring an air of exclusivity. The simple design is efficient in providing a lot of brief snippets of information without sacrificing ease of use.

PGA golf promotional site FedEx Multi-channel promotional campaign

FedEx.com wanted to increase its traffic in the Small and Medium Business section. This campaign targeted business owners who were proven to be nuts for golf.

Requirements:
FedEx U.S. required an online promotion to drive traffic towards their Small Business section of FedEx.com

Solution:
In conjunction with PGA, the golf themed trivia game is designed to encourage users to explore the contents of the FedEx.com in order to answer the golf-related questions for a chance to win great prizes.

Design:
By use of miniature golf courses atop of office desks, we effectively merge office and golf, seemingly two different aspects of life, into one that relates well both to FedEx and PGA. Instead of a cut and dry question-and-answer game, players get to enjoy a ten hole miniature golf game and can quite literally use the trivia question to take aim at various potential answers, ultimately determining whether the balls are sunk. The gameplay is presented in an interface that was inspired by golfing gear and game consoles to further enhance the experience. A hip trend for the fabulously affluent, the South Beach Diet targeted the modern woman who was around-the-clock busy, stylishly social and physically active. The campaign was to raise awareness of SBD as an integral part of her lifestyle by providing lifestyle tips.

TVBeople Television Broadcast Ltd. Identity Design for Young Channel

TVBeople was a promotional campaign initiated by TVB to select the some fresh faces to be the future star. We helped to create one of the image promo and identity for it.

Requirements:
TVB Jade channel requested a new approach to leverage their young customers population, which are shrinking according to keen competition between online entertainments.

Solution:
There was a series of online and offline campaigns aimed to attract more attention from the target customers. Including a new star competition, online voting and variety show finale. The whole campaign lasted for the whole year, run in parallel with new youngster programs launched in the channel. The campaign go through different media, from print to new media to the traditional TV channel.

Design:
Young people have the characteristic of no fear to try, break through, dynamic and fresh. Inspired by their lovely nature, the new ID focus on the dynamic motion combine with high adaptability of the logo form and shape. The feel of insightful visual was achieve by embedding various of eye catching pattern into the logo. The logo also use as a badge for the offline and web campaign

Kraft Portal Kraft U.S A sophisticated online community portal for the modern woman

Design an online community that is as truly helpful as it is visually appealing! We created a space where members discovered recipes, socialized, shared ideas and got lifestyle tips all at their own pace.

Requirements:
Kraft U.S. requested a fresh approach to engage their key customers online, which are mostly women who juggle between work and family.

Solution:
This portal is geared towards helping users plan and manage their hectic day in a social-networking environment. They will be able to choose topics that interest them, such as researching receipes, exploring new ways of cooking or sharing ideas of entertaining guests, with Kraft providing handy tips and useful suggestions along the way.

Design:
Inspired by the tranquility of a spa-like environment, the main goal of the design is to provide a soothing interface for users to spend a reasonable amount of time on the portal without being bombarded by flashing banner ads, onslaughts of overwhelming headlines or screaming call-outs etc. The feel of the interface is personal and insightful, with a quiet sophistication in the choice of imagery and color palette, all the while maintaining the integrity of the Kraft overarching brand.

The story of a modern city girl's one day experience represented the new city lifestyle of a brand new estate in Beijing.

Requirements:
Changer Real Estate required a TVC promotion to announce their brand new real estate project "Donorey Garden". This estate project target to brand its image a globalize living environment in Beijing.

Solution:
Our team member Terry Lam is both the creative and director of this project. He aligned with a Beijing advertising agency to source out the distribution for the final product.

Design:
By use of all the local environment in Beijing to create the atmosphere of international city. Instead of a traditional way of cut in international scenery to create the global image, it is best to merging effect of global city essence with famous area in Beijing. The story of a modern city girl's one day experience represented the new city lifestyle of a brand new estate in Beijing. The creative was well-received by our client and created a refreshing effect among the real estate TV commercial in the city.

Master the technique of soft selling. One of the promotional strategies of Kraft Foods was to provide great recipes and helpful dining and snacking tips. We were tasked to kick-start the program by designing a series of emails that targeted exactly the right demographics.

Requirements:
General Mills requested a social networking microsite for its Nature Valley brand.

Solution:
Since Nature Valley cereal bars are geared towards outdoor enthusiasts, we created a concept where visitors can share their outdoor lifestyle with one another.

Design:
The design leads with stunning panoramic images of the great outdoors to set the tone of the site. Three information pods below display various information that further attract visitors to explore the site, make friends or learn to create healthy snacks.

Yes, it was a rather mundane subject. But we made it fun by just a bit of visual exaggeration that exactly showed how the product helped everyone and anyone. To the business professionals, the creative needed to be clear and simple, exactly like the Bell brand.

Designing specified identities and on-air presentation for the Olympic channels.

We created new complete identities for the four ATV Olympics channels. With a clever nod to China’s most cherished color, these channel identities needed to functionally be highly recognizable and distintive individually and exude plenty of energy and excitement as a group. ATV and the spectators loved it. The identity system was definitely a winner!
